Synopsis

The process leading up to the DNA formation of RAW >O+ OMAH was like a game of blending various aspects of personal identity and skills as an architect, craftsmen, and librarian to reach a single point. This process involves an effort to balance the right and left sides of the brain. It includes long periods of practice and intense interaction with the team in the studio, workshop and library. The presence of Bare Minimalist as our first completed project marked the beginning of enriching this process, with the involvement of clients, architect, engineers, craftsmen and eventually librarian, further complementing the existing network of relationships. Formulating a genesis that underlies an established practice pattern is certainly not an easy task. This explains the lengthy time required to publish Bare Minimalist in the form of a book. The DNA of RAW >O+ OMAH could perhaps serve as a reference for newly-founded studios in formulating the design method which also acts as an initial prototype then further develop the design ecosytem, with the note that this reference needs to be refined to suit the most appropriate context for the reader.
