Testimonial – Wang Sien

February 19th, we had the opportunity to meet Wang Sien from Taiwan. With a background in graphic design and involvement in publications, she visited several places as part of her inquiry.

During the tour, she was very attentive—taking notes, observing, and asking detailed questions about design, craftsmanship, and the relationship between people involved in the building process. She shared how impressed she was with the adaptive design approach that lives in harmony with nature, while also fostering an authentic and meaningful community.

This visit became a journey to take a closer look at how design exists not only as a form, but also as a process and a way of thinking behind it. Throughout the experiencing, each space was carefully observed, every detail considered, and questions continuously explored—ranging from design approaches, craftsmanship processes, to the relationships between those involved in shaping the space. The conversations that unfolded went beyond the final outcome, touching on the values and mindset that shape the architecture itself.

She sought to understand how a space can live, evolve, and remain connected to its surrounding environment. At the end of the experiencing, She shared his reflection: “Very impressed with the adaptive design approach to live along with nature and build an authentic community based on this lovely place.”

At the end of the experiencing, he also brought home the book “The DNA of RAW DOT OMAH”—as if continuing the curiosity and reflections that had begun within this space.

Thank you, Wang Sien, for your time, attention, and the perspectives you shared throughout this journey. May every observation and conversation become part of a process that continues to grow.
